1. Do your Labrador puppies come with AKC registration?
Yes. All of our Labrador Retriever puppies can be registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). Depending on the puppy and the home, puppies may be sold with either Limited Registration (pet homes) or Full Registration (approved breeding and show homes). Registration details are discussed before a reservation is accepted.
2. What health testing do you perform on your breeding dogs?
The health of our puppies begins with carefully selected parents. Our breeding Labradors undergo comprehensive health screenings, which may include OFA hip and elbow evaluations, eye examinations, cardiac testing, and appropriate DNA testing for hereditary diseases such as Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), and other breed-specific conditions. We only breed dogs that meet our high standards for health, temperament, and structure.
3. What colors of Labrador Retrievers do you breed?
Creek's Edge Labradors specializes in English Labrador Retrievers. Depending on planned litters, we may have puppies available in black, yellow, and chocolate. Because our focus is on quality rather than quantity, color availability varies from litter to litter.
4. How do I reserve a Labrador puppy?
The first step is completing our puppy application. Once approved, we will discuss your preferences, answer any questions, and place you on our waiting list. 5. At what age can puppies go to their new homes?
Our Labrador puppies typically leave for their forever homes at eight weeks of age. By that time they have received age-appropriate veterinary care, begun socialization, and have had time to develop important interactions with their mother and littermates.
6. What comes with my Labrador puppy?
Each Creek's Edge Labrador puppy goes home with a comprehensive puppy package that may include AKC registration paperwork, veterinary health records, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming records, a health guarantee, a microchip, puppy food, and helpful information to make the transition into your home as smooth as possible.
