At Creek’s Edge Labradors, our breeding program is driven by a deep commitment to the health, temperament, and conformation of each dog, ensuring that every pairing is carefully planned to enhance the breed’s natural qualities, foster strong family bonds, and produce English Labradors that not only meet but exceed the expectations of their forever families in every way—from being loyal, loving companions to thriving in a variety of environments and activities.

Health Testing & Genetic Screening
The health of our dogs and puppies is our top priority. We conduct a comprehensive health testing protocol for all of our breeding dogs to ensure they are free from inherited genetic diseases and are physically capable of producing healthy offspring.
Hip and Elbow Dysplasia Evaluation: We ensure that all of our breeding dogs have been evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).
Eye Testing: We perform CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) testing to ensure that our breeding dogs do not have any hereditary eye conditions that could be passed on to their puppies.
Genetic Screening: We utilize the latest DNA testing to screen for common hereditary issues in the breed, including conditions such as progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), EIC (Exercise-Induced Collapse), CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy), and others.
Nutrition and Early Development
We believe that proper nutrition is vital to the health and well-being of both the mother and her puppies. We feed our adult dogs and pregnant females a high-quality, balanced diet designed to meet their specific nutritional needs.
Our puppies are started on premium puppy food and receive careful attention to their dietary requirements as they grow. We work with veterinarians to ensure that our puppies are getting the proper nutrition at every stage of their development, setting them up for success in their new homes.
Additionally, we believe that early neurological stimulation is crucial to a puppy’s development. We use a protocol known as the “Bio-Sensor” program, which involves gentle handling and stimulation exercises to improve the puppies’ overall temperament, immune system, and cognitive development. This early socialization and mental stimulation lay the foundation for confident, well-adjusted puppies.
